Was it just me, or did January seem to drag on FOREVER??? I started this month, much like I do each January 1st, by sitting down and writing out my personal and business goals for the new year. This year though, I was much more intentional with my goals, and took the time to make a game plan for each one.
So here I am, at the end of this first month, and I wanted to take some time to look at my goals and plans to see how I am doing so far and see where I need to make adjustments.
I am happy to report that I am right on course with my business plan(s) and even made some adjustments for bigger and better ideas. Unfortunately, I am sorely lacking in my health and fitness goals. This is par for the course for me. I tend to get way too caught up in what I am working on and forget to take care of myself. I am the worst when it comes to yo-yo dieting and it has been way too long since I have found a good exercise routine. SO, I am counting on this post, and all of you, to help hold me accountable. I am committing myself to walking at least 7000 steps every day in February. This may not seem like a lot to many of you, but for someone who is either standing behind the chair in the salon, or sitting at the computer working every day, this goal will push me to move out of my daily routine a bit and help me to clear my head by walking it out when I am stumped in my writing, my business goals, or even just need some quiet time. I am also cutting my carbs WAY down this month and have just started my meal planning. I look forward to actually sticking to these goals and will share some of my journey throughout February.
